Congratulations! Now that we see the value-add in your core competencies, we’re prepared to dynamically maximize and completely redefine strategic action items on an enterprise-wide basis. Let’s whiteboard the quality vectors over a working lunch.

Bloody chuffed
“Fucking stoked” would have also been acceptable, but you clearly took the British English version. Congrats, sir! Welcome to the ranks of ESL speakers who have mastered the language far better than those of us born into it :D

Let me guess, you’ve taken economics 101 as well as “how to be successful, by Donald Trump”?
;)

Nah mate, I’m a far from native. I just know how to implement the odd bit and bob to make it sound like I’m native.
Me accent spoils it :P

no, I just found some “corporate bullshit” generator on a site.
though there are people who “communicate” like that. I remember from my time as a supplier resident @ Chrysler, “Minimum Bob” Nardelli would send out memos from time to time, and they more or less looked like this:
Hello Team,
assertively create high standards in applications, competently predominate cloud-centric niche markets, appropriately supply state of the art outsourcing. Dynamically negotiate diverse sources, and phosfluorescently actualize competitive results. Meanwhile, energistically parallel task low-risk high-yield models with backward-compatible mindshare. We must remember to continually communicate user friendly opportunities and synergistically transform timely potentialities.
Bob
I always got a kick out of how he signed off as “Bob.” Like pretending to be “just folks” somehow makes that pile of gobbledygook any more palatable.

“If you had taken fully 20 minutes to check your work, you probably would have scored 100%”

Congratulations, I have obtained ESOL level 2 in highschool a few years back, I believe that corresponds to C1/CAE.
It is great to have a higher grasp of English than some people who have it as their mother tongue.

Used to work at Chrysler as a powertrain engineer and can confirm, that language you highlighted is spot on. Those emails were painful to read. Always wanted to respond to them with “TL, DR, sounds like our work got you a great bonus”

I know I would. But I’m only interested in learning english on a basic level. I’m quite fluent when I write, but I stutter and stammer when I speak English with someone who’s native.. I tend to mix my R’s, L’s and W’s as well.
Basically I tend to sound like Elmer Fudd.

Just one last thing to check
You know that “leveraged profits” is a synonym for “fraud”

ever been to JTE? I spent a year there. Interesting building, lot of history. Neighborhood? Uh...

Thankfully no. I joined in 2011 after they closed JTE and moved everything to Auburn Hills, but I have heard plenty of stories about that place. How the 3rd floor was rodents, 2nd floor was homeless people, 1st floor was engineering. Everyday someone would pin a cockroach to the board and see who could kill a bigger one.

any building that old has cockroaches. they usually stay out of sight during the day. I shudder to think what’s running around inside the walls in this place.
What I thought was neat at JTE was the amount of stuff they had which still had AMC logos and markings. It was actually really two separate buildings; the front where all of the engineering and cost/finance people were was the old AMC engineering building, which itself was formerly Nash-Kelvinator’s engineering and factory. The back half was built by AMC sometime in the ‘70s and held the design aid garages and test labs. they were connected by a long breezeway. The worst part was the electrical garage was inside the old building, and the construction methods of 1929 meant there were concrete pillars everywhere. This building went up back when Nash was making normal-sized cars, so my “hazing” was being told to go get a Ram crew cab dually and get it into a bay in the garage.
